Window display for Café Maiasmokk.
Client Kalev Chocolate Factory.
Established in 1864, at the time of The Industrial Revolution, Café Maiasmokk is the longest continuously operating café in Estonia. The Victorian era was a time of inventions – the steam engine, photography and cinema made people believe that technology would make all utopias a reality. Nowadays, nostalgia for these times is seen in steampunk style, which acts as a cultural bridge connecting the past of Maiasmokk with the trends of today. This approach was taken in inventing distinctive eye candy — a Ferris wheel, decorated with coffee cups and spoons. The project was done in cooperation with Ionel Lehari and Andrus Märtson from IO Studio.
